Telra is growing and we are looking for Special Education / EC specialist positions to teach students in grades K-8. EC teachers are responsible for driving learning and teaching for students on their roster and work in close collaboration with classroom teachers at multiple grade levels.

 

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

  • Assessing students' skills and educational needs
  • Adapting lesson plans to meet each student's individualized needs
  • Tracking students' performance
  • Developing, modifying, and updating IEPs
  • Discussing students' progress with their other teachers
  • Providing individual or small group instruction in push-in or pull-out settings
  • Collaborating with parents and school staff

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS  

  • Prior successful classroom experience in EC instruction 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or another field relevant to the teaching subject

PREFERRED SKILLS 

  • Valid and Current EC teaching certificate from State of North Carolina or in pursuit of teaching certificate.
